About Us

Our History
Since 1984, MZA has produced, co-produced, or consulted more than 200 events for a variety of organizations and causes in numerous cities throughout the United States. Its innovative and detail-oriented approach to event production and fundraising has achieved consistent – and remarkable – results.

Best known for its work in confronting the HIV/AIDS epidemic, MZA created the world’s first AIDS Walk (Los Angeles) in 1985. Within 2 years, MZA had also founded AIDS Walk New York and AIDS Walk San Francisco. All three AIDS Walks remain highly successful to this day at generating millions of dollars and vast public support.

Work in the HIV/AIDS field remains a core component of MZA’s work. The company has also played a major role in events addressing breast cancer, human rights, affordable housing and homelessness, and other causes.

Our Results
MZA has raised more than $375 million for leading charities and social causes. In 2016 alone, the events produced or co-produced by MZA raised more than $10 million, engaged more than 50,000 participants, and attracted over 150,000 donors.

Our Methods
For every event or campaign MZA produces, we create and implement an outreach strategy designed to achieve our clients’ goals. This may include marketing via social media, email, web, broadcast and cable television, radio, direct mail, phone banking, public canvassing, and outdoor advertising.
For causes we promote, we have the proven ability to enlist the support of elected officials; celebrities and other public figures; companies large and small; and most importantly, the general public.

Does your campaign culminate in an event? MZA will call on its vast expertise in route design, crowd management, entertainment production, and community organizing to deliver a memorable day-of-event experience that keeps participants engaged in your cause and energized to continue their support.

Our Goal
At MZA, we seek to produce every event with integrity, efficiency, precision, and passion. We focus on serving clients that help build healthy communities or otherwise create positive change in the world.
